I came across this clogged fountain on a nature trail In Long Beach, CA back in Jul of 04.
I just knew that if I sat there, I'd get a visitor.
Had I known then what I know now, I would have taken more shots of the fountain correctly exposed to combine with the bird. As is, the whole viewer's right side of the sloped surface of the fountain was blown out. I had a hard time reconstructing it.

I like the idea of getting a nice bird at a drinking fountain and this little guy posed for you so well. I think the bird is over sharpened and the spout takes on an unusual look. I know that you spent a lot of time rebuilding and I think you did a good job. I think I might have liked this image better had the bird been much smaller in the frame.....something to think about if you get that opportunity again.
