These were the actual colors this morning at Green Cay. I only hope I did them justice.

I'm impressed Lance !!!!!! Sure wish I could have gotten up this morning Awesome colors !!!
Might even look stronger without the foreground !!! Big Congrats !!!
What colors!!!!!
Nice way to begin the year.
I would get rid of the foreground and concentrate on the beauty behind. The strip of fog is a nice touch.
happy New Year, my friend :)
I agree with Fabs: this is an excellent candidate for a panoramic crop.
Thanks, everyone.
Something like this...?
Cleaner yet, get in the water :)
Then go to selective color and pick blacks from the drop menu and move the slider to the max in blacks.
I use Elements 5 and Lightroom, Fabs. No selective color.
Any workaround?
Outstanding. I like both versions.
I think I've got it, now.
Thanks for the tutorial, Fabs.
What a great landscape, Lance! The colors (especially the last revision) are wonderful. The cropping works; with the original foreground you actually had two images, both of which are stronger when separated (simplified).
Welcome aboard Lance. I would take the remaining foliage out of the FG bottom of the frame. I like the new intensity of the colors in the second version.
The last crop is my favorite of the bunch so far, but I agree with Robert I would consider cropping out the last bit of foreground vegetation. Great depth, he alternating layers of foliage through the scene make the image for me.
