This little lion cub claimed his mothers kill as soon as she called her cubs. His three siblings had to wait. His antics really made us laugh. The Masi Mara is the location for this image. This is an older slide scan so no detailed exposure data is available. Hope you like the image. C and C welcome, I'm here to learn.

I wanted to run Noiseware on the bg, but I'm not comfortable making a selection of a subject with so much fine hair. All guidance welcomed and appreciated. - John

John I like the moment and action you captured in this image. It does look a tad over saturated on my monitor. Love the huge paws and the beautiful eye contact in this image. Many thanks for sharing.

Thank you Judy for your kind words. I seem to be having some over saturation issues with some of my uploads, how is this? - John

    Hey John,
Love the action and the re-post does look better. As for NR on the BG....I am assuming you don't use noise ninja.........so in PS.....just lasso tool as close as you can to the lion and wildebeast chin and up. You can add to the selection by holding the shift key and use the magic wand to fine tune the selection. then blur it slightly or run NR. As long as you are pretty close....the noise should be less noticable. I found that scanned slides had this issue quite often.

Roman, Thanks for your suggestions, I appreciate that. I don't use "noise ninga", I use "noiseware".

Spectacular intimate portrait here...very nice. Is this scan from the same series as your attacking lioness? If so, I'd say that your last post isn't sharp (which I thought was caused by poor scanning).

    Hi Jasper.

They are from the same event, but scanned at a different time with a different scanner. I am searching for the lioness slide to rescan it. Thanks. - John
