Something other than the Great Blue's and am trying again. This was at Green Cay today in spite of all the people and children and strollers and wheel chairs.
Canon 40-D at 1/640th of a sec. 7.1 with a +0.7 Ec. 100-400-MM L set to 400

I like the Lilly floating next to the bird. A also like the flash of green. I'd like to see a lower angle and some eye contact Bill. Thanks for posting!

I like the action and composition. The head is slightly angled away from you which is to be expected since the bird seems to go the other way.

I agree with the above comments, but it´s all a matter of taste at the end and if you like it, then you should be happy :), I like the moment and the action feeling in the wings, colors are nice and it looks very sharp.

Your timing was excellent Bill and I like the blurred wings that gives us the feeling of movement. Also excellent detail and lighting. A slight head turn would be nice but that is not always possible. Congratulations on great timing !!!
