    Default Eagle Action

Had a great time on Saturday here in northern Utah... there are some friendly souls in the photography world, including the friend who let me use his 600 f/4 for a short while so that I could capture a few images, including this one. At first I wasn't sure about the grass in the lower right corner, but I think they add an interesting touch. Cropped top & left (70% of original image remaining)

    Thanks for looking,

Awesome work John! I love the unique composition and incredible action that you captured here. I suspect that the flying eagle had clipped wings in the original, so I really like the choice that you made here to focus in tighter. The lower bird is a nice balance to the bird coming in from the top side. Very effective...glad you had a chance to borrow a 600mm for a bit. :)

No nit on the technicals. Composition-wise, I personally prefer to see either you include more of the eagles or crop tighter around the heads (would be much better if they were closer to each other), making it a vertical format. Either way, more of the bottom eagle would be better in my opinion.

I like the comp as it is, lovely light, poses and action, my only nit is that extra wing covering the lower eagle. still, wonfderfull shot. congratulations!

The interaction is great and so are the details. I'm wondering what a wider crop would look like.

Simply awesome action captured in this image and beautiful lighting. The exposure is dead on and the detail is superb. Love this one John !!!
