    Default Portraits (III)

There are no pelicans in my islands. but ther's a placed in Tenerife, where you can see them (captive for sure). I like the pride pose of this one. Nikkor 80-400 VR, handheld:

    Exposición: 0,005 sec (1/200)

Nice pose Jose and framing. Wonder if you can bring out more detail on the top of the head and wing??? Might clone out the orange spot at the bottom of the frame too.

I like Jose One Cool looking bird !!

Agree with suggestions and can add that I would like to see the eye livelier A touch of fill flash would have helped !!!

I really love the high contrast, and the sharpening looks fine on my monitor (but I defer to the experts *grin*). Definately need to add a catchlight ot the eye though.

Very nice! I like the pose and framing. Looks plenty sharp to me. Agree that the eye definitely needs a catchlight to liven it up.

Jose - Really Really like the composition - as mentioned the eye has no life, the addition of a catch light would make it - fill flash would also have provided you with the catchlight.

    lookign forward to more :)

    Hi Jose,
A very nice pose indeed...agree on the catch light in the eye...The colors are superb and the black background makes him stand out...well done...

Seeing that you have a D300 you could easily kick your iso up to 800 with little fear of noise...I agree, sharpness and detail is there but needs a catchlight.
