    "Floating" Egret at Viera Wetlands, June 2007. Nikon D200, 70-200 2.8 Lens, with TC, Focal Length 340mm.
    ISO 320, 1/500 @F7.1

    The only manipulation to this image is the color (and a slight crop.)

    Oops! I just looked at the original NEF and the final crop is more than I thought -- large body of water around this egret.

    Love the over all feeling this image presents . The action you captured has almost an ethereal feel to it. Good exposure and well framed .

    This is a wonderful image Arlene. I wonder if it would improve things if you selectively removed some of the blue out of the white areas?

    Thank you, David. Yep, that could be done, and I think it would improve the egret so that it would probably stand out more. But, then I wonder if the image would look too much like a regular image & not Out of the Box?

    The only critique I can offer is to repair the top tip of the beak (Fill in with the beak color). Ethereal is a good description indeed. Very nice image.
