    Default Streaked Spider Hunter

Here's one of a relatively common bird getting ready for a swipe at the nectar of the banana tree flower. A petal falls off each day to expose a new set of stamens.

A very striking bird perched on an equally beautiful flower. Excellent sharpness and nice use of fill flash. I only wish we could see the bottom of the flower petal at the bottom of the frame.

Well balanced picture. The tones and composition are well married. I love the bird and flower sharpness and positioning in the frame. Great piece of art.

A really stunning image - great detail and sharpness and composition. Fascinating 'common' bird and what a perch!

Super image - wonderful bird with excellent detail and what a gorgeous flower. I'm sure you could have posted this over in Flora, but they would have probably said to clone out the distracting bird ;)

Thanks all for your comments. At times things just fall into place and I was lucky to be at the right spot at the right time.
