Canon Mark 2n with 300 2.8, AV 8.0, Evaluative, +1, 1/320, ISO 400, lying on the ground from 10 feet away at Viera. It was hot, over 90 and dusty. We drove around the cells and found lots of gators, small ones, lots of ducks, herons etc. I settled on this one gator. He was very cooperative.

Love the mood you captured in this image Grady. I might be tempted to crop a little off the bottom.

I like the eye contact. I would remove most of (2/3) the OOF portion at the bottom and some at the top. It then litteraly makes a killer picture!!

    Grady,

I agree with Rene suggestion on the crop. Nice work getting low.

You should have told me you were here.

Grady love the low angle and eye contact.. I wish the eye was a bit brighter. I did a crop as suggested above.

    What do you think?

I am sorry guys I missed you all in the field. I do like the re-do crop as suggested. I had to return home on Tuesday due to a medical emergency and am now back here in Maine. My health is not so good at this time and I am trying to focus right now on recovering. Thanks for all of the comments.
