    Nice fluffed up plumage and profile. The vegetation may be intrusive to many and there's some chromatic aberrations on the under borders of the plumage. Sharp and well exposed, thanks for sharing :)

    Great texture in that fluffed fresh plumage full of stars. I think you could probably crop a bit from the right. The sharpening has accentuated the shadow noise and to my eye is a little strong on the plumage - I suspect you could probably mask it back off everything except the eye and bill.

    Agree with all of the above Kurt. I like the ruffled feathers in this capture as well as the sharp eye contact. Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks! I'm still learning what I can get away with (or not) in post processing and even more importantly, training myself to look for imperfections I usually don't see becasue I am overly taken with something else in the shot :) Getting someone else to look at it critically helps tremendously!
