Default Baby Grebe. Big cute factor!!

Hi to all. I wandered around Viera today and although the light was not great, the sun came out for just enough time to catch the grebe family:). This was taken with the D300, Nikon 500 f4, f 7.1, iso 800, 1/2000. As always all C&C's welcomed. My main monitor is out for service so I had to pp on my secondary one which is not my favorite.

Great moment captured, I like the interaction and angle. Does it need a bit CW rotation? I would selectively sharpen the head of the chick more.

Thanks Axel:). Yes, it sure did need just a tad of CW and I sharpened the chicks head a tad more too. Just what it needed. Repost

I'm glad you added the CW rotation. I am not familiar with the species but the bill coloration looks to have had grey added probably owing to blowout(?), if that's the case I'm sure a better fix can be done, otherwise it is a superb image.

Hi Nancy! Nice to see your image of the chick. It is super-cute. We were there last week and there were 4. Predation reduced the number to 2. When did you take this?

Lovely capture Nancy and definitely an exciting moment to see these little babies. I love the action you captured between parent and chick. Well done and excellent timing.
