The eye's seem to have held up well during the digestive process.....

    Canon 1D3, 400mmDO at 800mm, ISO 200, f/11@1/500 could've used some flash....

Okay, I changed to the cropped version (lower part of chick's body) I meant to upload....

    Yummy indeed WT.

You captured the interaction well. At f/11 I would have though the adults head would have been sharper. Will a little selective sharpening work there? Seeing the chick's eye is a big plus - the krill's too. :)

Thanks, Robert - if I have done it right, I think the DOF is around 2 3/8" (800mm @8.9m on 1D3) so I think it is due to motion blur of the adult? Here's the best I could do in Lightroom w/ adjustment brush ..

Looks yummy...if you are a penguin chick. :) Great behavior captured, I also like the intimate mood, composition and BG. Maybe a bit selective sharpening of the parent's face.

Great interaction and behavior you captured well here. I probably would have gone with a higher iso to avoid any motion blur.
