I'm impressed you were able to do so well with the lighting conditions and no flash. It looks like you had some back-lighting to contend with. Beautiful pose. Nice wing feather detail. Would have preferred him looking down a little. Still a lovely image.

Nice warm colours Michael, and I like the pose and look-back. I think you are suffering from some under-exposure noise in the dark feathers. A contrast-boost of the bird itself may help this.

Really interesting pose and capture in this one Michael and you did well under rather difficult conditions. Thanks for sharing.

I like this image a lot, and primarily because of the way the BG and the eagle are integrated. All the pine (?) fronds form downward-sweeping groups, and so do the wing, neck feathers, and tail of the bird. The wing, especially. So from a compositional standpoint it's really fun to look at.

It's also intriguing because we have no idea what is attracting the bird's attention, and what we presume to be a vocalization of some sort. There is almost an element of submissiveness in all those downward sweeps and "dropped shoulder" look of the wing, and it is intriguing.

    For what it's worth,
    Massimo
