    Actually, I have only photographed one juvy goshawk so far.

    Cropped.

    D300 200-400 on mono-pod. Manual exposure mode, no flash. ISO 800 f4.5 1/500 sec.

    Hi Desmond,
    I like the capture, you have good details in the feathers and a sharp eye...the head angle needs some CW rotation and would like to see more room at the bottom for the tail...I was tempted to suggest on removing the three thin branches that are criss crossing the bird on the bottom; but since they are so small, we will let it go, and call it part of the habitat, since the rest of the bird is clean in the open...:cool:

    Hi Desmond - agree on the CW rotation - never having seen one of these guys --- do you ever see them perched out in the open???

    Does feel tight at the bottom.
