I took this back in December and hesitated to post it, but kept coming back to it, so here it is...I like the pose and the action and the exposure and love those big old lobed coot feet. He was on a boat launch of sorts which is why the bottom looks a little strange and it might be a little tight? Eager to hear your reactions.

    Katie,

I really like the detailed action showing the foot with the water drops flying. I have always liked the feet on coots. I would like to see a little more room around the bird as it seems too tight for me.

    God's light to you,

    chris

Hi Katie - intresting feet - never seen those before - cool :) You have good details and I like the water droplets.

Feel it is a bit tight - would like more room at th e bottom for the virtual/feet - feet.

    Keep em coming :)

Katie I would go with the flow and crop it even tighter, take half of the body form right !!! Will make the neat looking foot more prominent !! Really good !!!

Congrats on getting an intriguing coot image. I think they have lots of appeal but it doesn't always photograph well, and this image is great for showing some coot-ness. Well exposed which can be a problem with these guys.
    Like the tighter crop.
    Well done
