Default using a flatscreen TV to view images

Could anyone comment on the interface connections that you would look for in one of the modern LCD or plasma TVs for viewing digital images. For me I would want to connect my laptop to the TV and have a show. I use a Mac and it's got digital video out (DVI) and I can also convert this to VGA. Ideally I would hope that some TVs have a DVI-in like a computer monitor but I'm not sure if this is available.

    Hi John,

I am using Apple's DVI-HDMi Adapter on a Panasonic flatscreen. Works really well, the "monitor" is detected with its correct resolution.

    Regards

Thanks to you both. I knew about HDMI on the TV side but had not heard of a DVI-HDMI converter. That's the way to go I guess.
