    The Great Blue Herons have just changed their positions and this one is now leaving the nest. We have certainly had many opportunities this year to photograph the Great Blue Herons during the mating season.

    Agree with Sid about the pose, lovely wing positioning, I might have moved him up a bit higher but that's very minor.

    Great detail and comp, lovely sepcies and terrific light, the wing position is not the best IMHO, but still, I like this one very much. Congratualtions!
