Cape Canerval State and National Seashore parks are great. They are located right next to Kennedy Space Center. The state park has a long auto trail.

From the Orlando area Merritt Island NWR to the east and Viera Wetlands to the south are great spots. There are also a bunch of other spots like the Blue Heron Wetlands and Orlando Wetlands that I have never visited, but have had good reports from time to time. You'll find birds all over the place, so enjoy your trip!
