I like the action Susan, raised leg an implied speed look mighty good. Would like more room up front. Good exposure with shadow detail ... sure wish it was taking off more to your side but do like it a lot as presented !!! Excellent capture !!!

Like the take-off pose, action captured, sharpness, and light. The bird does feel a little tight in the frame, and a bit more eye contact would be a plus. Agree with Al's suggestion. I would clone out the dark area above the bird and perhaps the pieces of grass sticking out above the Coot and the Caracara's tail feathers.

Agree with above comments, including those whic say this is a great image! I just wonder what is that ¨cable?¨ sticking out of the bird´s wing over his tail.
