    Hi Christopher I like the wing position and bg color Would suggest having taken the image a tad earlier to have the bird flying into/parallel Can crop some to tighten the image You have lots of room on back Generally you wan more up front

    The light must have been a bit harsh You have a good exposure on the shadow areas but the highlights are somewhat hot A neat bird to photograph !!!!

    Thanks Alfred, This bird was shot at maximum distance and 100% crop.

    I have tried to improve it, any help greatfully accepted.

    The crop of the repost is more interesting but it looks overprocessed. The processing in the first one looks better despite the lack of details.

    Thanks Axel I agree, too much sharpening, back to the original RAW file and have a play.

    Note to self "Must sell the kids for medical experiments and buy that 500F4 ISL and put wife on the game and buy the Canon EOS 1D Mk. 2N"

    Alternately learn more.
