Another image from my trip to Churchill, Manitoba. A very striking new bird for me - not quite the clear BG that most people seem to prefer but this was the clearest I could get, as the birds were feeding in these larches.

Bird looks very good Melvin, framed well within the branches, fine head angle and sharp. Any minor cleaning up is just personal taste and I like it as presented !!!!

The bird looks great with a nice pose, good eye contact and excellent sharpness. I like the inclusion of habitat, but I'd remove or soften the visual impact of the stuff behind the tail feathers. Congrats on a nice image!

Agree with the others Alan, colours and natural habitat are great, maybe some minor clean up and would have liked to see the head a bit sharper.

Very lovely image and I like the blue in the BG as contrasted with grosbeak. Beautiful natural surroundings make this a very appealing image.
