Obviously a hand of man image, but thought it would be appropriate with Valentine's Day, tomorrow. It took quite a bit of effort and patience to get this image. I hope it brings a smile to your face and that you all will see Love Birds in your yard, tomorrow.

It was taken with a Canon Rebel XTi and 100-400 lens at 350mm. Aperture priority 6.3, 1/500, ISO 400, minus .33 exp. comp., matrix metering. No flash. I believe I used my tripod on this one, but took some with, some without, so I'm not positive.

For anyone that does not know, these are Eastern Bluebirds...male on left, female on right

Absolutely Valentine :) Even the background is heart colored! I au have wanted a little more of the basket, but that is minor, congrats!

Glenda, Saw this earlier but was on my way out. I like the creativity of this and the BG colors are screaming Valentine's Day-you really thought this thru! I do wish the entire heart was in composition. I have seen some of your other posts and they were all delightful-have you ever posted in the OOTB Forum? Stop by and give us a look !!!

Thanks Fabs & Denise for the kind comments. I looked at my original file and just barely had the whole heart in the frame, but it was cut off when I had to straighten it. I have plenty of pics with more of the basket...just liked this pose of the two birds, the best. The pink backround was made from many artificial silk flower bushes placed about ten feet behind the basket. My Bluebirds were fairly patient, as it took some time for set up, but they knew they would be rewarded with mealworms for their cooperation!
