    “Returning Home”

    This fellow is one of the locals at Shark Valley National Park. He was painted with a Nikon D70s using a Nikkor AF-S 300mm f/4 D IF-ED lens, and a Nikkor 1.4 T/C.

    focal length @ 630mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / matrix metering / ISO @ 500 /1/2500sec - f/11 / exposure comp @ -0.7EV / white balance @ auto / AF Mode @ AF–C, dynamic range /color mode @ sRGB / tone comp @ +1 degree / hue adjustment @ +2 degrees / saturation factor @ +2 degrees / no speedlight – ambient light / no tripod - hand held /

    nice exposure and super pose with the calling a bonus. nice sky, too. is it just me or does it need just a tick of NR?

    like the open wings, great feather detail, and gorgeous sky colors. would have like it to be looking slightly toward the camera rather than away from it and that the tips of the beak and feet were sharp. sure beats any pics I have of this bird in flight!

    Your BIF are great as far as the capture and composition, but I don't know what you're doing to get these (as Al says) spooky sky.
