    This comp work very well for me, love the pose, the light, the BG, the detail is outstanding and the textures are terrific! Congratulations!

    The simplicity of it is great. All the colors seem to complement eachother and you nailed the perfect pose for a nuthatch. If I had to nit, I guess it would be nice to see a little more DOF but this looks great as is... very sharp for 1/160

    Hi Ron,

    Overall, I really like this one. The comp and the clean BG work well with the subject. Love the light and the eye contact. Maybe some selective sharpening on the bill would be appropriate but this is really nothing.

    All round fine image - I like composition background and plumage detail.

    I agree on the DOF issue, but the pose and composition is really nice here. Seems like the light was just not enough to give you some more flexibility....you certainly made best of the situation here.
