Another image I created of this Short-billed Dowitcher out at Ft. Desoto while laying in the cold (ok, cold for us Florida Crackers haha) water.

    Beaker,

    Well seen and well executed.
Very nice subject, well exposed and sharp. The low angle offers an excellent connection between subject and viewer.
Perhaps you could take a smidge off the bottom and cool the color temp just a bit.
Very well done. You must have an awesome teacher or great genetics to pull off images like this at such a young age.:)

Sweet light, pose and superb low angle, Blake. Wondering about a smidge of CCW rotation. Not having been there it looks a bit yellow to me. Is this version way off?

Hi Tony, thanks for the repost :) It's a bit off. The light was super warm that morning. After processing the image I used a selective color adjustment layer and cranked down the yellow from the yellow channel. A Great Blue Heron that I posted from the same morning will give you an idea of the light temp. I do like a little cooler look. I think you're right about the CCW.

I see what you mean about the yellow light on the GBH. I'll have to come and have a look some day!

Love the low angle - gorgeous light and a great pose. That sigma 500 is not a bad lens at all and a fraction of the nikon 500 price.
    Gorgeous shot :)

Beautiful, Blake. A great pose and the low angle really sets the bird off. I agree with Ramon that a color temp between the 2 versions above would probably be ideal.

Lovely image Blake. The pose really add to it. I have no problem with the yellowish cast.
