    One of a flock of around 30 found at Shark River Inlet (NJ).

    Canon 50D and 300mm f/2.8L IS w/ 2x TC; tripod-mounted.

    1/1600 sec @ f/8; ISO 400; 0 EV; FL 600mm (EFL 960mm)

    Sweet capture, Ed. I have the feeling it could go a bit lighter and use less foreground.

    Hi Ed - agree with Fabs on the crop - nice feel to it and details are great.
    for my personal taste -- the large bright orange spot above the bird is distracting

    Great find and good angle. I agree regarding a tighter crop and would lower the color temperature a few degrees.
