    “Concentration”

This handsome fellow stopped to pose mid morning at Shark Valley National Park. He was painted with a Nikon D70s using a Nikkor AF-S 300mm f/4 D IF-ED lens, and a Nikkor 1.4 T/C.

    Image Solution:
    focal length @ 630mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / matrix metering / ISO @ 400 /1/750sec - f/8 / exposure comp @ +0.3EV / white balance @ auto / AF Mode @ AF–C, dynamic range /color mode @ sRGB / tone comp @ +1 degree / hue adjustment @ +2 degrees / saturation factor @ +1 degree / no speedlight – ambient light / no tripod - hand held /

    Comments greatly appreciated…

Great composition, dramatic image. Is it a tad over-sharpened? Seems just a bit unnatural?

    Hi Mr. Peters,
I applied a few paint brush strokes following the natural contour of the feathers. Made the background flat and bland so that the bird would pop out...

Like the composition Gus. Do agree with previous comments regarding the look of the image, don't know if it's over sharpening?
