Hi Jim, You guys had a great trip to my favorite part of the world. Are you posting on landscapes at all?
I've been chasing NH's for a long time and have been unsuccessful. Yours has great wing position and eye contact. It looks a little soft to me. Maybe some sharpening.

Great pose and backside view of the bird, lovely LOVELY light and very nice comp, no nits, except, IMO, for the lack of color contrast between the bird color and the BG, I think the sky could be more blue, what WB did you use if I may ask?
    Congratulations!

    Ramon,

The bg is a mountain, not sky.

Wonderful light, sharpness and posture. The crop perhaps a tad tight for me.

Awesome Jim... you guys had some killer light that one afternoon, and of course you did an excellent job with the capture. Really like the detail, eye contact and slight head turn. Good to meet you and Doug and others while you were out this way... hope I'm able to shoot with you again sometime.

Top side view, warm lights, nice eye contact and soft bg makes this image. Really like it.
