    Hi All

I took this image down in Cape Town a week ago, I did not have any long lenses with me and had the Nikkor 14-24mm on the camera at the time when this Red-winged Starling came and sat right next to me and I could not resist.

    Nikon D3x
    Nikkor 24-70mm F/2.8
    1/200
    F/8
    ISO 100

Great job of composing this one. I like the view of the horizon, and it's not often you see avian images posted that were shot with a 24-70 lens! (or was is a 14-24??)

I love the composition of this shot and the great environmental feel you get from it. I would suggest just a slight crop of the bottom and darkening the sky a little as it seems a little washed out on my monitor. Cool shot and what a neat bird.

    God bless,

    Chris

It works very goo IMO, the light is a bit harsh and fill flash would´ve probably helped, but I love it as presented! Congratualitons!

Great composition, details and the wide angle works really well here. The light looks a bit harsh and I'm wondering if a slightly lower angle would have made it even better.

Fantastic and different, the only but would be the strong light. Well done!

Thank you very much John, Chris, Ramón, Axel & Fabs, ditto on the strong light, very limited by what times you can get up on Table Mountain so I had to make the best of it, also packed light and did not have a flash with me, avian photos at the top of Table Mountain was the last thing on my mind. Thanks for the comments.
