The scrap gives him character, Rob :) Very well done. Tack sharp, well exposed, nice background, and I like the diagonal perch that you've incorporated. The only thing that I can see that would improve this image is to position your subject further to the right of the frame, bringing him out of center. Great work.

Nice pose, lighting and sharpness. You must be very patient to have captured a reed warbler with such a clear background.

Great pose, detail and head turn. I like that the lower part of the perch leads out of the bottom of the frame instead of the left side... I think that makes for a nicer composition overall.

Light seems a very littler bit harsh, but love the pose, perch, BG, and comp! Congratulations!

Great pose and overall comp. I agree with Blake on bird positioning. Ramon also has a good point o lighting. It seems that you have a little too much fill flash.

Thanks for the comments. I didn't use a flash so any harshness is due to natural light. I underexposed -1/3, maybe I needed -2/3??

    cheers Rob
