This is a newly fledged Roseate Spoonbill.
As you can see it is a rather inexperienced flyer. They get better.

That's a really cool pose, James. Love the soft pinks of these youngsters too. It looks like the secondaries and tail feathers are the sharpest...wish for just a bit more sharpness on the head and bill. Nice work and hope to see more from your recent trips in Tampa Bay!

Great diagonal pose and the open beak and flailing feet add a lot, I agree that the head could be a bit sharper.

    Does this look better?
I tend to use USM too conservatively.

Sweet!! The second image is better in my opinion. Love the vertical composition, exposure, and gorgeous underwing detail. I'm gettin' seriously geeked for the season!

Awesome pose and the head turn is great for your composition... I really like how you've left more space to the right.

Not sure what the juvies look like, but I like Ramon's repost the best.

This really looks like flight school. :) Great pose and the more sharpened version looks great.

I like the sharper repost, but James' colors are more true to juvies. Great pose!!!

    I like Ramon's as well.
The one I posted closer represents the true colors of the Juvi Spoonbill.
