    Had to chase her for a while until she decided to stop by a floating leave.

    Nikon D300; Nikon 200-400 w/1.7tc, Focal length 650mm, F6.7, 1/320, ISO 400, Manual Mode

    They are difficult to capture Oscar !!! Nice capture !!

    Would like the extra room to the left side and the slow shutter speed might had some effect At 400 your effective focal length should have been over 800 mm !!!

    Hi Oz - realy like the composition - head angle looks good also. Does look soft on my screen, agree with AL's comments on the slow shutter speed - I assume you were hand holding - might have got away with it on a tripod - Maybe!!

    Oscar, The pose and the lily pad are great! I love the HA. I have tried several times to get a shot of these guys but they are very quick. agree w/ above techs.

    Lovely bird in an attractive position. She does look a tad soft, and a bit more space to the left would be nice.
    These birds are quick and a feather in your cap to get any image at all.

    she struck a pose for you, but i have to agree with the others. it looks a little soft. almost like there's a blur or heavy NR across entire image.
