This image was created in the Musiara Marsh, Kenya. I believe this to be "Red" the pride's primary hunter. Her pose was so regal, thus my title. This is an old slide scan so no detailed exposure data. I hope you like it. All critique and comments welcomed, I'm here to learn. - John

I have repeatedly desaturated this image and the upload preview insists on re-saturating it. I an unable to alter it!

    John,
I like the composition. Nice eye level composition. The background is diffused. There are lot of details in the image. I would like to reduce the saturation a bit. I like it a lot.

    Cheers,

Beautiful, the eye is almost translucent. How did you manage to get so low, I presume you were in a vehicle?
I also have problems with differences between TIFFs and JPEGS and what eventually arrives on screen.
Is there any simple method that can be recommended?

Hi Ken, Thanks for your comments. We photographed from Land Rovers, shooting mainly from the roof hatches. In this case I was kneeling on the floor shooting out a side window. I obviously haven't mastered all the uploading issues yet.

Wow! Great capture. Definitely a royal pose. I think the framing is a little too tight. If you can, I would leave more room.

Love the pose and serene look you captured in this image. They are so majestic and you captured it in this image. Thanks for sharing John.

Very nice composition. Like the grass in foreground.

Another 'wow' from me... this is great! I like the casual glance, and the grasses in the lower right make it extra nice. If anything, maybe a little more room on the left, but that is very minor. Great work!
