    Hello All, Here's a reflection of a White Pelican, would you say it's a bit abstact?
    Stats: 1D MIIN 400MM lenses, 1/160th, @ F8 Aperture Priority. On tripod.

    Abstract yes.

    I like the framing a lot with the feet in the UL corner. Reflection is very clear which is a big plus.

    I think I would have preferred a head-turn though. The small particles in the water also distract. When I do this I like perfectly clean water or clean it up in PS.

    I like the idea and composition but would prefer if the head were angled more toward you.

    Now this image certainly is out of the norm...nice thinking. :) I agree that the head angle here is the biggest detriment...the pelican looking away makes it hard for the viewer to really connect to the bird. Other than that, I like the composition with the big reflection and the non-reflected foot anchoring the top-right. Way to think different!

    Well seen and shot Norman, I like the orange feet at the top and the reflection.
