At the beach in Port St. Joe, Fl. Couldn't believe the pinks in the sky.

    Hello Linda,

You had great light and some fantastic clouds. You have two strong diagonals in this image - the clouds and the shoreline - both helping to guide the eye into the image.

The sand FG I feel takes up too much space and diminishes the sky too much. I posted a recrop which takes the LL edge right to the shoreline. Having diagonals entering at the edges makes for a powerful compositional element.

I think your shutter speed was just right - you can see the form of the waves but it is softened due to the logn exposure. Nice work.

    Robert,

Thanks for your help. I will try the crop. I like it.

    Hi Linda,
Beautiful sunrise colors captured. I like robert's crop as it accentuates the curve of the clouds even more while minimizing the footprints. You live in a tough part of the US for landscapes.....so I really applaud your efforts to get out there early and create a very nice image!
