    Default Portraits (I)

I´m a newbie to photography , but 6 months ago, I started to feel very attracted by nature photography. So I bought a nikkor 80-400 VR , and begun to shot in the park, the zoo, the seaside. In this time I have been learning to use it. Static subjects are the way to begin (I think?), so this pic belongs to a series of static portraits I've done. This one was catched in the seside. Unexpectly, it let me get very close and I could shot this one (cropped):

    Cámara: Nikon D300
    Exposición: 0,004 sec (1/250)
    Aperture: f/11.0
    Lente: 400 mm
    Lente: 403.2 mm
    Velocidad ISO: 200
    Tendencia de exposición: 0 EV
    Flash: On, Return detected

Excellent composition Jose...I like the close up pose...the details and color rendition on your bird is superb you have a good head angle and sharp eye contact. the multi toned background compliments your gull very well...congrats...looking forward to seeing more of your work...

Stunning image Jose !!! I like the framing, sharpness, exposure and bg !!! Its all about feel and this has it !!

I like the zero comp for that image/light Whites look great !!! Excellent lens for the static subjects, moving will be a little more difficult (slow AF) but can be done !!!
