Sitting on a wire today - just before the rain at 4 PM today. 2X on 500mm f4 with 1DMk3 at iso800, 1/400 at f8, manual, one shot, flash on high sync w/ Better Beamer - on tripod - 50% crop - I know it is noisy! - Bob

You certainly managed to fill the frame with this one, Bob. - maybe too tight for some. I like the pose with the bird not quite looking directly at you. The bird looks just a bit overexposed on my monitor and the eyes have that "flashed" look. If you selected the pupils and darkened them, I think that would help a lot.

Like the detail and eye contact. Here's a repost with a black Levels adjustment and a litte darkening of the pupils. I'd be tempted to add some canvas on the left.

Iwould try the first post with a bit more SAT and also more sharpening, noise reduction and a wider crop. Congratuaitons!
