    Beautiful subject Dennis. Love the warm background and perch. Comp and head angle are perfect. The only thing I would do is open up the face and eye a little by dodging or use the tool of your choice. I tried it and it worked really well. Your eye is drawn to the face first and this needs to be a bit lighter.

    Dennis, this is a gorgeous image. The colors that you captured are really spectacular...nice bird species too! :) I think this image would do well with a levels adjustment to bring up the dark tones...they seem underexposed slightly. Hope to see more of your work here!

    I agree with Judd here, it does look a bit underexposed IMO too. Great perch, pose and BG though! Congratulations!
