    Another mountain fox image captured just outside of Cody last December. They were quite active which gaves us lots of opportunity to capture them in different situations.

    Nikon D3
    Nikon 200 to 400 mm F4
    ISO 640
    1/50, F9

    Judy,

    Good action and perspective. The color is a bit electric and I thought that you had more sharpness then the post is revealing. I reposted with reduced saturation and additional sharpening. I also selected the eye and lightened it up in PSCS using a curves adjustment.

    Great capture! I like Robert's repost better. It may take some work, but I wonder if removing the snow flake from in front of the right eye would be better or would it remove some of the natural feel?

    Love the capture and the repost. I do not recall ever seeing a fox coming straight at the viewer like this. This kicked up snow in from of him and the snow on his back are icing on the cake.

    Too bad this isn't sharp...but I love the exposure and head on approach....perhaps a bit too big in frame for my personal taste.
