I was at a job site meeting in Fort Myers Bch this afternoon when I saw this species for the first time. Luckily I had my camera with me. I know this is not the greatest picture, but I was happy to get something.

The pose is good with an intriguing environment. The whites look a bit hot on my monitor. You might consider a little Shadows & Highlights. You did a good job with the BG placement here. There are no branches crossing through his head, but instead, they encircle it and hide possibly distracting elements in the far off BG. Getting down a little lower would have covered the road with the hedge. Well done.
What a cool bird to find that far up the west coast of Florida. I agree with Axel that the background is a bit busier than desired, but you did a good job with the flash exposure to balance the bird exposure with the background. Maybe just a tiny bit of recovery in those whites to finish things off.
