Nice action here. The heron with the branch really grabs my eye. Positoning the body at the "thirds" intersection with the wings, head and feet radiating out from it adds to the strength of the composition. I find that all these branches at the bottom are mildly distracting. You might want to tone them down in PS. You could also try some Shadows and Highlights here as well as running some NR on the BG. Overall, well done.

Nice moment Stuart! I noticed some cloning artifacts on the top of the image..you might want to smooth them out...
