Been a little in a rut lately..........as I'm going through my Florida stuff............dreaming of spring. Decided to go out today and try a few waterfall shots......as the mercury hit a balmy 50! The thaw has begun as it appears we will have a few more days of warmth.
Taken in Childs Park PA this morning. Mostly overcast......nearly broke my neck getting down the frozen path to this location.....so I spent 2 hours working it. I did this originally in color......but decided to not fight it......it was mostly B&W anyway.
Canon Mark 3 with the 17-40mm lens at 20 mm for 2.5 seconds at f22 and ISO 100 with Lee circular polariser.....all tripod mounted with bubble level in hot shoe. Very slight crop off bottom.
As always comments welcomed and appreciated.

Roman, I'm not looking forward to going back to Jersey-but I see it's warming up! The ice on the side frames the water nicely, this has a very dimensional look, the B&W adds a mood.

Great tonal range Roman and framing. I like how the light is reflecting on the ice giving it a nice crisp edge beside the water.

Beautiful image. Love the comp and think you did the right thing by going with the b&w. I am wondering if I'm seeing some posterization towards the bottom area of water? I just can't tell for sure.

If it makes you feel any better our ice is all melted...I shot my first images of tulips breaking ground tonight. Spring is finally on its way!

I like it a lot Roman Precise framing and excellent visual flow. Only wish the whites on the right side were carried the same density to the bottom. This would make a stunning print !!! Your good my friend !!!
