    Trumpeter Swans wintering in northern Minnesota - taken last week. 40D, 500 f/4 + 1.4X, 1/640, f/16, ISO 400. Comments are welcome.

    I really like the feel of this one Steve. The postures of the birds balance well and although you might have wished for the heads-up bird to one side, I think this works as-is. The lighting is great and the reflection adds interest. I would crop a little of the OOF ice form the bottom and add a little at the top if possible.

    I agree with John. The thin band of reflection adds a subtle touch to the "feel" of the image while your low angle give you a good perspective and a clean BG. Cropping pano adds to the compositon. I must admit that I would prefer to see more bush and less ice. Good job on your exposure here, the whites look great.

    Hey Steve,
    Great light and detail. The clarity and sharpness add to the crisp winter feel. I think I would prefer to not have the reflection and open water but I'm not positive yet on that. Ask me again tomorrow:)
