    This juvenile green heron stopped by our subdivision lake at mid-morning one day. He was not skiddish and allowed me to get up close. I haven't seen any green herons at our lake since.

    I like the pose and head angle. I would sharpen the bird more and run noise reduction on the BG. A lower angle would have been great.

    Nice find, Tom! These guys can be hard to get close to up in the midwest. I agree that a lower angle would have been nice to provide a cleaner background...particularly reducing the prominence of the big rock right behind the heron. Gotta love those wild feathers on the head of this juvenile!
