    Found this kestrel yesterday in the wind. Got rid of some branches below but now it seems a little empty.

    D80 - 200-400 VR x 1.4 - 1/500 f5.6 EC+1 ISO 200

    Beautiful pose Dan with lovely lighting and great eye contact. Love the clean blue sky too. Your exposure is very nice as well and many thanks for sharing this image with us. Fine work !

    Great pose Dan. The light here is just beautiful and your exposure is perfect. I really like your eye-contact and head angle, they really grab my attention. As you mentioned, the bottom seems a little empty. I would be tempted to try out an 4x5 aspect ratio.

    Great light, pose, details and eye contact. I might crop it a bit tighter.

    Sweet light and image only suggestion would to crop some off the bottom.

    Nice Dan, I like the fluffed up feathers and the head turn on this one. Agree about the crop but do not mind it as presented.
