    Default Tigress near water

I photographed this tigress in Bandhavgarh National Park. She stopped drinking and turned around to look towards her cubs who were hidden in a hillock near by. I warmed it a bit, normally I don't do but felt it is better to warm this scene a bit.

    Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM, EF 2xII, ISO 640, 1/160, f5.6, EV: + 1/3, full frame.

    Look forward to your comments.

    Saby,

I like the alert look and the fact you have a good view of the face. Nice environment showing the habitat. I tried a crop just below the grass in the water and find that a good alternative.

This is a very nice relaxed, shot if you had not told us about the cub, I would have said she looked totally disinterested. I agree with Robert about a little more cropping.

On my screen I can see something blurred on the nose, but that is only after intent staring.

    Robert,
I tried the crop as suggested by you and it looks good. However, it becomes a big crop ie. about 35% of the image is discarded.

    Ken,
There is a patch on the nose, partly due to being wet while drinking water and the other part is dry. It is not a cloning mark, as I don't clone my images.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi
