    This poor chap was really feeling the heat yesterday and decided to swim in our pool.

    Got some shots of him drying off.

    Canon EOS 1D mk11
    Focal length: 600mm
    F/8
    1/1000sec.

    A very nice capture Jeni,
    I like the pose...You have sharp details with very good color rendition. your head angle and sharp eye contact are dead on...I also like the perch and complimenting background...good show...looking forward to more...:cool:

    P.S. On a personal note, you might consider on toning down the slight warm spot behind the neck area and the reflection on the upper portion of the bill...:)

    Wonderful bg - smooth, even and colors really complement the bird. Bird is sharp and well positioned. Nice diagonal on the perch.

    Hi Jeni Must be nice having such a cool bird in the pool !!! Agree with advice and can add try to get on sun angle, will ight up the bird evenly !!! I like it !!!

    Jeni, like the over the shoulder pose. Might try sharpening the eye a wee bit? Love the blue on the feathers and the BG.

    Thanks guys, I have a new screen, not yet calibrated and seem to be undercontrasting/ saturating/sharpening.
    It looks so bright and almost oversharpened so will need to get it sorted out.:o
