Gorgeous Female Snail Kite Profile - Lake Toho

Thanks to Mike Tracy for knowing Lake Toho so well, I was able to capture few images of Snail Kites. We spent a cold Sunday morning out in the boat but we were able to be right in front of these guys. This female was very cooperative and got used to our presence really fast.

One of the very best shots I've seen of a female! Light, comp, perch, BG, pose, detail, exposure, color, all is more than stunning IMO. Congratulations Maxis!

Ps: I didn't notice before, but in the wing there is some loss of detail, probably due to the NR.
