Default Need Suggestion for a Good Flatbed Scanner For Prints and Slides

I've found a lot of old prints I'd like to scan and restore and likewise need a scanner that scans 120 film/chromes

I've seen an Epson 750 and a Microtek one available. No one has them locally so I'd have to order. Would like someone's feedback before I plunge.

I hate recommending equipment as everyone has their own preferences but for what it's worth I used the Epson Perfection V750 PRO to scan my old slides that were showing signs of deteriorating and was very pleased with the results. Like you I wanted to use the scanner for photos also as once I scanned all my slides I didn't need the slide feature very rarely so a dedicated slide scanner was out of the question.

Here is a link to a review that made my decision http://www.photo-i.co.uk/Reviews/int...750/page_1.htm

    Best of luck.
