    It was thrilling to watch as great and snowy egrets landed somewhat backlit in the golden grasses at Viera Wetlands at sunset.
    1DMark3, 500mm f/4 lens, ISO 640, f/4, 1/2000, -2/3 exp. comp. Hand-held.

    I like the mood and composition. It looks as if it needs a bit CW rotation and the highlights look a bit hot. Was there a way to photograph them without having grass in the OOF foreground?

    With the o-o-f grasses and the flank of the rear bird well over-exposed this one does not work for me. I do like the juxtaposition of the two birds.

    The overall mood and the different positions are really nice. But as said it does look over-exposed and slighly tilted.

    How do you do a backlit image of white birds without overexposing some of the whites? I was going for the mood of the scene.
